2005 Annual Appeal

For 70 years, the International Student House (ISH) has provided a rewarding, multicultural experience for over 8,500 scholars and students of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs. The uniqueness of the ISH living experience is embodied in the outstanding array of programs that occur so frequently. There is an enriching program of outside speakers, as well as a host of other internationally oriented activities that complement the living experience of our residents. They are the direct beneficiaries of these programs, and participate in their organization as well.

ISH was fortunate to make recent physical improvements that have served to enhance the living experience of our residents. The results of your donations have allowed ISH to complete projects that have resulted in better living accommodations and security for the ISH family. However, there remains much to do, as ISH must now contend with upgrading our technological services and continue to maintain our landmark buildings, which have since 1936 provided a warm environment where residents can thrive in the celebration of their differences.

Although some progress has been made in reducing ISH’s financial obligations, significant challenges remain. Revenues still do not meet expenses, and the balance must be made up through outside support. We at ISH hope you are able to make a generous tax-deductible donation in order to build a strong financial future for the House, and to support its mission.
