Ways to Give

Annual Appeal

For 70 years, the International Student House (ISH) has provided a rewarding, multicultural experience for over 8,500 scholars and students of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs. The uniqueness of the ISH living experience is embodied in the outstanding array of programs that occur so frequently. There is an enriching program of outside speakers, as well as a host of other internationally oriented activities that complement the living experience of our residents. They are the direct beneficiaries of these programs, and participate in their organization as well. We wanted to highlight many of the programs and residents that have made ISH unique. (more on the Annual Appeal)

Endowment Fund

Thanks to the generosity of Board members, alumni and friends, ISH moved to its present location in 1947. In 1967 construction began on Van Slyck Hall and twenty years later Marpat Hall was purchased. A small permanent endowment and reserve fund were established. Although the Endowment Fund has improved in recent years, ISH remains under-endowed. (more on the Financial Endowment Fund)

Reserve Building Fund

The preservation of our historic Main Building, with its paneled Ella Burling Hall, library, and dining room, the upkeep of our walled garden, and the maintenance of our residence quarters in ongoing and expensive. Providing technology services (high-speed internet, computer facilities and equipment) to our resident scholars and students is a necessary, and expensive, endeavor.
