We do not share your contact information unless you give explicit permission to do so. Period. Your data is utilized for the purposes of ensuring we can provide our services to the best of our ability.
ISH-DC RESIDENT SCHOLARS
If you are a resident, prospective resident who has started to fill out an application, or an alumni, we have the following data to inform the acceptance and placement process for all residents at ISH-DC:
Personal contact information: Name, date of birth, physical address, phone number, email address, citizenship, academic information, and emergency contact information (name, physical address, email address, phone number of the designated individual).
We request the above information, as well as a copy of your passport, to ensure each individual meets the qualifications of the House (i.e. at least 21 years of age and in a graduate program or professional internship).
We request your photograph (after the acceptance process) for security purposes. A copy of the photograph book is stored at the front desk to help identify current residents.

We collect this data through a third party software company, StarRez, which specializes in higher education accommodation management. You can review their privacy policy here.
When you pay your monthly rent via credit card, the information you fill out (name, credit card number, physical address, email address) is processed by a third party secure merchant, authorize.net. You can review their privacy policy here.
Our website: if you have signed up for late dinner, an event, or alumni-update on our website, then your information (name, address, telephone, email address) is stored in our CMS, WordPress.
ISH-DC uses cloud-based local and off-site servers to store and back-up data. ISH-DC engages with a professional IT company to maintain and secure our system.
ISH-DC DONORS AND SUPPORTERS
We collect the following data to process your gift(s) and communicate (by physical mail and email) upcoming events and programs at ISH-DC, to send invitations, and communicate pertinent information relevant to supporters of ISH-DC:
