Checking In

  1. Before arriving to the house please take time to read the Resident Handbook. Check-in time is 3pm on your scheduled date of arrival. If you arrive earlier than 3pm, your room may not be ready. If you arrive after your scheduled move-in date, you can arrive at any time of the day.
  2. Our front desk is staffed 24 hours a day. When you arrive there will be a packet for you to pick up with your keys and door combination.
    • Please read and sign the “Resident Conduct and Financial Responsibility Agreement” located in your packet.
    • Please leave this form with the attendant at the front desk.
    • If you arrive during Business hours, stop by the office to have your picture taken, pay your first bill and meet with the Resident Managers.
    • If you arrive after hours please make arrangements to take care of these items within the next 48 hours.
  3. You will also find valuable House information in your packet, along with the daily Meal Schedule.

International Student House of Washington, DC (ISH-DC) is a private, non-profit 501(c)3 organization located near Dupont Circle in the heart of Washington, DC. Donations will help support our mission to provide an exceptional residential experience to a highly diverse international community of graduate students, interns and visiting scholars. The House promotes inter-cultural dialogue, encourages life-long connections, and fosters global citizenship.
