The Embassy Series: Christopher Schmitt

June 29, 2016 by Katie Russell

Wednesday June 29 @7:00 pm

International Student House is pleased to invite you to a

Special program in partnership with

The Embassy Series

Special performance by Christopher Schmitt

Christopher Schmitt

Wednesday, June 29, 7:00pm

Reception, followed by performance

Christopher Schmitt is a classical concert pianist, teacher and chamber musician living in Washington DC. He is currently completing a Doctorate of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance at The Juilliard School in New York, and performs regularly in small ensembles at the White House and DC metropolitan area as a member of the President’s Own US Marine Band. Program: Prokofiev, Beethoven and Chopin.

The EmbaEmbassy Series Logossy Series has worked with over 200 ambassadors, hosted over 600 concerts in 73 different embassies involving more than 800 international artists from 80 countries and over 300 artists from the D.C. area. By extending public access to the embassies in the Nation’s Capital, the Series offers its audience the opportunity to participate in a cultural exchange – to watch and listen to a musical performance that highlights the contributions of a particular country. Such a backdrop allows the audience to “get a feel” for the nation being represented, which is key to promoting and celebrating the diversity of both a host embassy and Series patrons.

A suggested donation for the benefit of artist is $25, which you can donate HERE.

*no need to RSVP to Katie, or through ISH-DC if you are purchasing your ticket through the Embassy Series!

Artists’ reception follows concert.
