Bike Trip to Mount Vernon

The annual resident bike ride to Mount Vernon is scheduled for Saturday, May 31! The 36 mile bike trip (18 miles there and back) will begin from ISH at approximately 9:00am and will include the following stops:
- Lincoln Memorial (3 miles)
- Jefferson Memorial (4 miles)
- Reagan National Airport – the end of the runway (5 miles)
- Old Town Alexandria (9 miles)
- Mount Vernon and Lunch (9 miles)
After these stops, we will coast home 18 miles by 4pm, barring breakdown or injuries. You may stop and return to the House at any time if you wish not to make the entire trip.
If you are interested in participating, please e-mail Jennifer Simpson or stop by her office by Monday, May 26. She will coordinate renting bikes for those who need them. This is a resident only event.
