Linda Donavan Harper is retired but remains an active community volunteer and participates on several non-profit boards. She was Principal of LHarper and Associates, a strategic planning and organizational development firm. She served as the Executive Director and CEO of Cultural Tourism DC from July 2007 to January 2013 and served on local and national tourism related boards. From 2000-2007 she was the Chair and CEO for Historic Congressional Cemetery.
She moved to Washington DC in 1987 to work for the National Trust for Historic Preservation where she was part of the management team of the highly-respected National Main Street Center. Ms Harper grew up in Missouri, graduated from Missouri Valley College with a BA in Human Relations and did graduate work in Art History at the University of Missouri. She is married to Robert Demers and lives in Arlington, VA.
